FARES

We aim to maintain scheduled times whenever possible; however, safety is our primary consideration. Rainy weather, traffic, road construction, and other factors may affect operating conditions; therefore, schedules cannot be guaranteed.

Fares in cash, pass, or transfer are accepted on Thousand Oaks buses. Fares can be paid in cash with exact change when boarding. Change cards will be issued for change of $1.00 or more. No refunds are available. Passes may be purchased onboard the bus with cash only.

TAP2RIDE - NEW

We're excited to share an update on Tap2Ride, our new contactless payment system! Over the coming weeks, you'll see Tap2Ride available across the City of Thousand Oaks transit fleet as we test the system to ensure everything is working smoothly for the official launch. During this time, you can pay your fare by simply tapping a contactless credit or debit card, or a mobile wallet such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, on any device that displays "IN SERVICE - Please tap your card below".

Some devices may be temporarily unavailable or out of service as we complete testing and make any necessary adjustments. If a Tap2Ride device is unavailable, please use another available payment method as you normally would.

If you have questions about your Tap2Ride charges, please review your travel history by visiting the Customer Portal here.

If you still have questions or need to dispute a charge, please contact our customer support team for assistance at (805) 375-5467 or transit@toaks.gov.
