Oversized Load and Transportation Permit

Oversized load and transportation permits are essential for vehicles that exceed California's standard legal dimensions. These permits help manage the risks oversized vehicles pose to road structures and traffic flow.

Loads that are taller than 14' or wider than 12' require a pilot vehicle.

To obtain a Oversized Load/Transportation Permit, you must provide a current certificate of insurance, stating the City of Thousand Oaks as additionally insured, as well as a copy of the check that will be mailed in. The transportation permit application, insurance certificate, and copy of the check are the three documents required to process and issue the permit.

To apply, please visit the TO/24 Virtual Land Use Service page.
