2026 Youth Leadership Summit
Apply to attend the Youth Leadership Summit to voice your opinion on community issues to our community leaders.
Who can apply: Students in 7th - 12th grade who live or go to school in the City of Thousand Oaks
Summit Date: Wednesday, March 25, 2026
Summit Location: Founders Room, Kavli Theater, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.
Summit Time: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM; Dinner will be served
Upon completion, all youth will receive a certificate of completion and community service hours for your time and dedication.

2026 Young Artist Contest
The City of Thousand Oaks Youth Commission (YC) invites young artists in grades 7-12 and eligible applicants of the Youth Commission’s Youth Leadership Summit to submit work of art inspired by the idea of the Summit’s theme: “Stronger as One."

sAVE THE DATE - Youth tree planting event
Join the Youth Commission for a hands-on tree-planting event to help beautify our community! Upon completion, all youth will receive community service hours for their time and dedication.
When: Saturday, March 28, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Attend an upcoming Youth Commission Meeting
Students in 7th - 12th grade and the public are invited to attend regular Youth Commission Meetings. Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month between September - May. Learn more here.
