Thousand Oaks is a General Law City with a council/manager form of government. Under this type of government, our City Council is the policy-making body, appointing the City Manager who is responsible for carrying out policy. 


City departments bring policy, programs, and services to life. Each department oversees several City functions and programs. Each is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to all residents and businesses.

Alternate Fridays

8:00 am to 5:00 pm


City Hall is closed alternate Fridays.
