Comprehensive Zoning Code Update

The City is updating Chapter 4 of Title 9 of the Thousand Oaks Zoning Code, Sign Code, and Zoning Map to be consistent with and implement the 2045 General Plan, and the Housing Element. This page provides updates, opportunities for input, the project timeline, meeting summaries, and products released during the process.

This collaborative effort began with the recently adopted General Plan by City Council on December 5, 2023. The City is committed to implementing the Plan as we process the Comprehensive Zoning Code Update.
