Be an active participant in your community by joining a board, committee, or commission!

Citizen boards, commissions, and communities provide an opportunity for residents to serve their communities by advising City Council on a variety of interest groups and topics. Members are appointed by City Council, and serve two to three years, depending on the committee.

City Council also appoints residents to represent the City of Thousand Oaks on non-City agency advisory boards.

Please note: Resolution No. 2003-105 Sec. 17. Duplicate Appointment provides that unless specifically authorized by City Council, no citizen may serve on more than one standing Citizen Committee, Commission or Board.
