Much like any big renovation, there is a substantial amount of prep work required to get your neighborhood ready for pavement resurfacing. The multi-step process includes different types of work performed by a variety of specialty contractors, including crack fill, dig outs, localized repairs, curb & gutter replacement, new ADA curb ramps, and grinding.
These activities will take place over the duration of the project, which will ultimately conclude with the pavement resurfacing, as well as striping and adjustment of utility covers. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work hard to meet the community's goal of having high-quality roadways!
Project Schedule:
April through October 2026
Preparing for Street Paving
- Check whether your street is included. Check the Street Paving List to find a complete list of streets impacted this cycle. If you don't see your street, it has likely been done in a recent cycle or may be slated for a future cycle.
- Review your mailed notice. You will receive a notice approximately 1 week before work begins on your street. “No Parking/Access” signs will be placed along the affected streets, with work dates listed 48 hours before any required road closures. Signs will be placed every 50 ft. with “No Parking/Access” date restrictions listed.
- Observe the road closure. While your street is closed (typically from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), you will not be able to drive on the street. Some deliveries may be delayed, so please make prior arrangements. Emergency vehicles are still allowed access if needed.
- Enjoy the new road! Once the paving process is complete and the barricade and signs are removed, you are free to drive on your street and put the shiny new asphalt on your Instagram using #TOstreets.
