Pump Station Improvement Projects
Citywide pump station enhancements designed to enhance water system reliability, fire resilience, and overall efficiency.
Pump stations are facilities in water systems that move clean water from one place to another, especially when gravity flow isn't an option. Their main purpose is to transport water from sources like wells, reservoirs, or treatment plants to storage tanks or directly to consumers, often over long distances or uphill.
Station upgrades include, but are not limited to, roof replacements, fire-hardening measures, emergency power systems, and structural improvements. While construction may cause temporary lane closures, water service will remain uninterrupted unless otherwise notified. These proactive improvements help ensure continued access to safe, reliable water, especially during emergencies like wildfires.
