Overview

Residents in the vicinity of the Arboles Pump Station at 2655 Avenida de los Arboles, Sunset No.1 Pump Station at 4025 Lemonberry Place, Sunset No.2 Pump Station at 2240 Fernleaf Court, and Sunset No.3 Pump Station at 2615 McCrea Road in Thousand Oaks will be affected.

Project Impacts

  1. Sunset No. 1 will experience partial lane closures during the removal of the surge tank and the delivery of materials and equipment for roof replacement at the pump stations.
  2. No water shutdowns are expected during the construction period; however, residents will be notified at least 24 hours in advance if any shutdown becomes necessary.

Project Benefits

  1. Arboles Pump Station: Remove the surge tank and install two air release valves, replace the pump station roof with enhanced maintenance access, and implement fire-hardening measures to improve site resiliency against wildfires.
  2. Sunset No. 1 Pump Station: Removal of surge tank and installation of two air release valves, roof replacement of the pump station roof with enhanced maintenance access, and fire-hardening measures to improve site resiliency during wildfires.
  3. Sunset No. 2 Pump Station: Installation of a canopy for pumps, roof replacement of the pump station roof with enhanced maintenance access, and fire-hardening measures to improve site resiliency against wildfires.
  4. Sunset No. 3 Pump Station: Installation of a canopy for pumps, roof replacement of the pump station roof with enhanced maintenance access, and fire-hardening measures to improve site resiliency against wildfires. The work also includes removal and replacement of the existing v-ditch to address current deficiencies, effectively preventing erosion and water damage. This replacement will enhance drainage and stability, while also reducing the need for ongoing maintenance and ensuring long-term durability in this challenging terrain.


Project Funding

  1. A construction contract has been awarded to Pacific Hydrotech Corporation from Perris, CA in the amount of $1,056,670.
  2. The Project was funded in the Adopted FY 2023-25 Water Fund Capital Budget
