What is temporary service?

Temporary service is defined as service that occurs a maximum of 30 days at a specific location per calendar year or service provided for construction and demolition projects that require a City building and/or grading permit. Service for City permitted construction and demolition (C&D) projects may remain if the building and/or grading permit is valid and the project progresses.

The City establishes the maximum rates for temporary service. Customers who need temporary service can compare the competitive service rates offered by the City's Limited Franchise operators listed above. There is one charge to rent the dumpster and an additional charge to dispose of the contents. The disposal charge is based on a per-ton gate/processing fee.
