Sidewalk and Concrete Replacement Program

The 2025 Sidewalk and Concrete Replacement Program includes the removal and reconstruction of the damaged concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and driveway approaches in the neighborhoods of Wildwood Elementary School, Westlake High School, the intersection of Avenida De Los Arboles and Lynn Road, Waterby street, and Thousand Oaks Blvd, from Moorpark Road to Via Merida Road (Refer to Location Maps). This year’s project is expected to repair approximately 16,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk, twelve driveway approaches, and 840 linear feet of curb and gutter.
Project Timeframe
Construction is expected to start in June 2025, lasting about 90 days.
Funding
The City is in the process of awarding the construction contract. This project is funded by the Gas Tax Fund.
Project Benefits
Repair or replacement of damaged concrete sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and driveway approaches provides for functional pedestrian travel and improves accessibility as well as street drainage. Priority is given to the areas with higher pedestrian traffic, schools, public facilities, and connecting walkways.
Project Impacts
- Streets will have partial lane closures, and some will have full driveway closures with limited access. Businesses/Residents will receive a 72-hour advance notification for any full driveway closure.
- There will be temporary traffic control restrictions and extra delays due to construction.
- The public is asked to allow extra time and exercise caution while traveling and walking through the construction area.
- “No Parking” Signs will be posted 72 hrs. in advance of the work.
- Residents will be notified 7 days in advance of the work.
