Traffic Signal Painting & Restoration

The work includes surface preparation and painting of all traffic signal poles, street light poles, mast arms, signal heads, luminaire arms, safety lighting housings, pedestrian button housings, back plates, and cabinets, and the installation of retroreflective borders on the existing traffic signal heads at 17 street intersections.
The construction of these improvements will happen during the nighttime hours between 9:00 pm and 6:00 am and daytime hours between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm (Monday through Friday). There will be some temporary impacts on vehicular traffic during the nighttime construction activities, including partial lane closures. The nighttime work will minimize impacts to motorists and pedestrians and also provide greater overall safety.

Budget/Funding
A construction contract has been awarded to Streetlight Restoration Specialists, Inc., Camarillo, CA, in the amount of $193,863.00. This project is funded by the City’s Lighting Fund.
Project Benefits
The benefits of this project include restoring and extending the lifespan of key infrastructure through painting and preventive maintenance. This will be part of an ongoing program over the next several years.
