The City of Thousand Oaks is excited to announce a special celebration in honor of its 60th anniversary. As part of the festivities, the City will feature The Concert Truck, a mobile music venue that brings live performances directly to the heart of the community. From September 27 through October 2, The Concert Truck will deliver seven free concerts across Thousand Oaks.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., September 6, 2024 -The City of Thousand Oaks is excited to announce a special celebration in honor of its 60th anniversary. As part of the festivities, the City will feature The Concert Truck, a mobile music venue that brings live performances directly to the heart of the community. From September 27 through October 2, The Concert Truck will deliver seven free concerts across Thousand Oaks.


The City's anniversary celebrations have traditionally centered around community gatherings designed to share stories, build connections, and honor the region's history, leading to a strong sense of belonging and community cohesion amongst residents. This year's musical tour by The Concert Truck is a continuation of this tradition, providing an accessible and engaging way for our community to come together, celebrate, and connect in various spaces across the City.


The tour will include three open performances and four outreach concerts at Madrona and Walnut Elementary Schools, Adelante Marketplace, and Westminister Free Clinic. 


The public is invited to attend the following performances:


Goebel Adult Community Center

September 27 at 4 p.m.

Newbury Park Library

September 30 at 6:30 p.m. 


This concert will feature Susan Zhang on piano and Eleni Katz on bassoon. Each location has parking, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. For more information, please visit toaks.co/concertruck.
