EV Advocates Charge Ahead with Drive Electric Events
September 12, 2024
If you have been thinking about a new car there are multiple local opportunities to learn more about an EV and decide if one would make sense for you.
September 2024. The Electric Vehicle (EV) transition generates many headlines, with EVs already reaching 20% of global sales and accounting for over 70% of US car sales by 2035. Already over 25% of the cars sold in California in the last quarter were EVs, and with new incentives for both new and used EVs, there are tremendous opportunities for almost anyone to purchase or lease an EV. If you have been thinking about a new car there are multiple local opportunities to learn more about an EV and decide if one would make sense for you.
National Drive Electric Week, September 27 through October 6, 2024, is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. It connects those curious about EVs with local owners who can share their experiences driving an EV.
There are several Ventura County events listed below staffed by the EV Advocates of Ventura County. They are a group of passionate EV owners who volunteer to help others learn about EVs from owners who can share real experiences about driving EVs. Many of them have been EV drivers for years and some more than a decade. Collectively, they have driven hundreds of thousands of EV miles, used an EV to tow a camper, driven across multiple states, and more. If you are considering going electric, attend one of the in-person events below, or click here to find online events and learn from other people like you who have gone electric!
