Community Environmental Enhancement Grant (CEEG)
The CEEG provides grants for non-profit community and school groups to complete activities that enhance the environment, beautify the community, address climate change and its impacts, provide environmental public outreach and education, and reduce waste, water usage, and electricity consumption.
FY24-25 CEEG APPLICATION PERIOD IS open from NOVEMBER 4, 2024 – DECEMBER 5, 2024, AT 5:00 PM
Examples of eligible CEEG Projects
Water conservation projects (installation of drip irrigation, grey water systems, rain barrels, replacement of grass with woodchips, or low flow toilet replacement), litter collection, recycling, waste reduction (installation of water bottle refill stations), energy conservation (LED light replacement), food diversion from the landfill (composting or donation), public outreach and education program, or similar environmentally related activity.
How to Apply to CEEG
Please complete the grant application posted in the Grants Document section in the upper right-hand corner of this webpage. The signed grant application and all applicable required documents must be submitted before 5:00 PM on the deadline. Applications must be submitted by email only to togrants@toaks.gov. To request a Word document application, please send us an email. A confirmation e-mail verifying receipt will be sent during business hours to all applicants. If the Applicant DOES NOT receive a confirmation receipt, the Applicant should assume the City did not receive the application. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Current CEEG award limits: Minimum is $2,000 and Maximum is $4,500. This grant does not have a matching fund requirement.
The anticipated date applicants will be notified of the award decision is March 2025. All CEEG programs/projects/events must take place and be completed between March 2025 - February 2026. All grant-related expenditures, must take place within the grant agreement period. After project/program/event completion (or after funds have been spent), grantees have 30 days to submit a Performance report.
The City Council appointed the Community Funding Review Committee (CFRC) to evaluate all eligible applications and present their funding recommendation to the City Council, who provides the final approval.
