Community Sports Grant (CSG)
The CSG application period is closed. The CSG provides grants for non-profit community and school groups to update sports facilities or purchase equipment to enhance a sports program.

How to Apply
The application period is currently closed. When the application period opens, the application will be available on this page. The grant application and all applicable required documents must be submitted before 5:00 PM on the deadline. Applications must be submitted by email only to togrants@toaks.gov. To request a Word document application, please send us an email. A confirmation e-mail verifying receipt will be sent during business hours to all applicants. If the Applicant DOES NOT receive a confirmation receipt, the Applicant should assume the City did not receive the application. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

2024-25 CSG award limits: Minimum is $2,000 and Maximum is $7,500. This grant requires 100% matching funds. Uniforms are not covered under the CSG funding.
Anticipated date applicants will be notified of the award decision: Mid-December 2024. All CSG programs/projects/events must take place and be completed between January 2025- December 2025. All grant-related expenditures, including matching funds, must take place within the grant agreement period. After project/program/event completion (or after funds have been spent), grantees have 30 days to submit a Performance report.
Grant Information
As part of the application, all applicants must complete the Levine Act Disclosure form and be in compliance with California Government Code Section 84308, which requires disclosure of campaign contributions to any city council member totaling $250 or more in the previous 12 months by any party to a contract with the City, or their agent or consultants/contractors. Failure to disclose such contributions can result in civil or criminal charges and carry fines up to $5,000 (civil) or $10,000 (criminal) for each violation. In addition, the party is prohibited from making any donations in the 12 months following award of the grant which, when aggregated with the previous 12 months, would total $250. The City Council appointed the Community Funding Review Committee (CFRC) to evaluate all eligible applications and present their funding recommendation to the City Council, who provides the final approval.
