Community Environmental Enhancement Grants Available

From November 4, 2024, through December 5, 2024, the City of Thousand Oaks will accept applications for the 2024-25 Community Environmental Enhancement Grant (CEEG) Program.

Do you have an idea for an environmental project at your school, your church, your club, or in your community? Do you need help funding it? The City is here to help! The City offers grants of up to $4,500 for groups like yours to take on environmental projects. How about a water bottle refill station? A native plant garden? A composting program?

From November 4, 2024, through December 5, 2024, the City of Thousand Oaks will accept applications for the

2024-25 Community Environmental Enhancement Grant (CEEG) Program.

The program provides grants for non-profit community and school groups to complete a community beautification or environmental project. Organizations and projects must be located in the City of Thousand Oaks. All projects must be completed within one year. Current award limits: Minimum $2,000, Maximum is $4,500.

Project examples include water conservation projects (installation of drip irrigation, grey water systems, rain barrels, replacement of grass with woodchips, and low flow toilet replacement), litter collection, recycling, waste reduction (including installation of water bottle refill stations), energy conservation, food diversion from the landfill (through composting or donation), public outreach and education program, or similar environmentally related activity.

CEEG guidelines are available at toaks.gov/grants. The application will be available starting November 4, 2024.

Applications for the grant must be submitted by e-mail only to TOgrants@toaks.gov by 5:00pm on Thursday December 5, 2024.
