The Thousand Oaks Library is extending its service hours at the Grant R. Brimhall Library by sixteen hours per week with Self-Service Access.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., June 10, 2024 - The Thousand Oaks Library is extending its service hours at the Grant R. Brimhall Library by sixteen hours per week with Self-Service Access. This feature enables authorized patrons to enter the Grant R. Brimhall Library lobby outside of staffed hours.


Individuals aged 18 and above with a valid library card can utilize the library's Wi-Fi, wireless printing, and retrieve holds by scanning their card to access the main library lobby from 8 am to 10 am, Monday through Saturday, and 8 am to 12 pm on Sundays. Additionally, the main library lobby offers access to the Honor Books Collection and real-time check-in of materials at the Book Lockers. Getting started is a breeze – just complete the online orientation, then visit the Library to finalize and sign the Self-Service Access agreement in person. We are excited to introduce eligible cardholders to this new chapter in library services.
