THOUSAND OAKS, Calif., March 4, 2024 -Get ready for another exciting return of the City’s Arbor Earth Day celebration this spring with new highlights for the community. Join us on Saturday, April 20th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Thousand Oaks Community Center located at 2525 N. Moorpark Road, next to Thousand Oaks High School. This free, family-friendly event will include an electric vehicle display area, kids’ activities, giveaways, raffles, live music, and more!

With the growing popularity and availability of electric vehicles, EV Advocates of Ventura County will host an electric vehicle display area where EV owners will display their vehicles and be available to answer questions and provide first-hand experience and insight on EV ownership. A variety of non-profit and environmentally focused exhibitors will be participating in the event. The City’s waste hauler, Athens Services, will provide information and answer questions about trash, recycling, and organics services and give away free compost. Kids’ activities will include a bicycle safety course and helmet giveaway, recycled arts/crafts activities, and recycling games. Have an unwanted bike lying around at home? Conejo Recreation and Park District will be collecting used bicycles for donation to underserved youth in the Conejo Valley. There will be live music, a native plant giveaway, raffles, and more.

Looking to make a positive impact? We invite volunteers to join us and be a part of this remarkable event. Earn community service hours while having a great time! For more details on how to get involved, contact gogreen@toaks.org
