The project involves the design, fabrication, and installation of 13 trash capture devices and 3 excluder screens at specific catch basins on various streets throughout the City.


Project Timeline

July 2026 through September 2026.


Project Funding

A construction contract has been awarded to Downstream Services, Inc., in the amount of $64,295.00. The Project is funded by the General Fund.


Project Impacts

There will be partial lane closures adjacent to the catch basins to accommodate the installation of trash capture devices or screens. Businesses and residents within the vicinity of the construction area are advised to observe all safety signs posted at the construction zones.

Project Benefits

The project will reduce the amount of trash entering the storm drain system. Catch basins previously retrofitted in this manner are considered fully compliant with the trash provisions adopted by the State Water Board.
