Street Lighting on Avenida De Los Arboles

The project will be designed collaboratively by Southern California Edison and the City’s engineering staff. The project will provide an additional 17 streetlights along Avenida De Los Arboles between the 23 Freeway and Moorpark Rd intersection, enhancing visibility for all road users at night.
The project will also contribute to installing 72 feet of traffic signal conduit across Avenida De Los Arboles at the Avenida De Las Plantas intersection for the future Traffic Signal project CI 5597. Furthermore, the project will include treating and repaving Calle Abedul Street from the Calle Naranjo intersection to the Avenida De Los Arboles intersection, covering approximately 115,341 square feet.

Start of construction: October 2026
Project completion: Spring 2027
Project funding
The project will be funded from the City Lighting-141 fund, and funds will be transferred from the CI 5735 Pavement Overlay Project.
Project impacts
The project meets the City Council's goals of maintaining a strong commitment to public safety. The project will improve nighttime safety, improve visibility for pedestrians and motorists, and help reduce crime.
