The work includes the fabrication and installation of trash full-capture control devices at 20 high-priority catch basins throughout the City (see Vicinity Map). Related work includes pre-installation cleaning and disposal of waste from selected catch basins.

A construction contract has been awarded to Storm Water Innovative Solutions, Inc., Orange, CA in the amount of $82,692.00. This project is funded with Stormwater Funds.

Project Benefits

The installation of trash control devices at each catch basin will effectively reduce the amount of trash entering the storm drain system. Catch basins previously retrofitted in this manner are considered to be in full compliance with the State’s trash and litter water quality requirements.
