City Council Public Hearing

MCA-2023-70005 amending Chapter 4 of Title 9 of the Thousand Oaks Municipal Code to repeal Section 9-4.2521 regarding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units (JADUs), amend Article 25 Sections 9-4.2509.5, 9- 4.2501(a)(3), 9-4.2509(a), Article 22 Section 9-4.2202(a), Article 21 Section 9-4.2104, Article 24 Section 9-4.2402, Article 2 Section 9-4.202, and add Article 45 Sections 9- 4.4501 through 9-4.4513 to comply with new State law as well as carry out program implementation from the City’s 2021-2029 Housing Element. Article 45 of Title 9, Chapter 4 creates new regulations dedicated to ADUs and JADUs, including updates to the development standards and review process for ADUs and JADUs.
